Bus Babushkas

The first time I went to Poland was in 2015. I had just graduated high school and our former exchange student lived in Warsaw. For five weeks she gave me the full tour of Poland, from Warsaw, to Gdansk, to Krakow to Wisla. Her family became mine, she became my sister and Poland became a part of my heart. On a bus through Warsaw, I spotted two old ladies waiting at a bus stop. One was tall and slender she was holding the umbrella for the other lady, who was short and stout. The scene was touching, and it stuck in my memory. Four years later, I sculpted it.
